Tudor Chronograph “big block” 79180

Our rare and collectible Tudor Chronograph reference 79180 is also known as the Big Block; one of the last Tudor/ Rolex with Plexiglass, giving the look of a vintage Daytona with the benefit of a date. We date our example to c1991 with a B**** serial. The dial configuration is superb, (silver with black subdials) and has great patina. The condition of this Big Block is very good and unpolished before listing, a strong case and bracelet, with signs of use overall and to the bezel. Given its age and intended use, as a sports chronograph, this is amongst the better Plexiglass Tudors we have handled. This example comes with neither box nor papers, but a presentation pouch will be included at point of sale. Immensely usable and understated, this would make a worthy addition to a Tudor collection, or general collection.
