Tudor 9k vintage

Vintage and very attractive, manual wind, round 9k yellow gold cased Tudor, with sub seconds dial and ivory coloured arabic numeral dial, is presented in excellent condition given its age. The case measures 33mm with crown (32mm without) and 39mm lug to lug, a classic size . The hands have been service replaced by luminescent which lends a sporty look (and added practicality) for daily use. A generic leather strap and tang buckle have been fitted. This was originally a presentation watch for long service, the case back is engraved " BR North Eastern Region R Wakenshaw In appreciation 45 years service ". BR North Eastern Region, we understand to have operated between 1948-1967 and covered the North East of England, including Scottish Borders, Newcastle, Yorkshire and Pennines, the age before electric trains took over. We date this Tudor to c.1960, indicating the lucky recipient had worked for the railway since the 1st World War period.
