Our vintage Rolex Submariner , reference 1680, features a 40mm stainless steel case and stainless steel bracelet. The original dial and hands are coevally patinated, and the overall condition is outstanding given its age. This attractive Submariner bears a 56 *** serial, indicating production late 1978 and was first retailed in 1979. Included is : inner and outer box (the outer with correct 1680 reference sticker), translation document, Submariner instructions, papers with case back sticker 1680 and punched 017/1680/serial, stamped for Singapore import / export as well as stamped sale date October 1979 and also, incredibly, the credit card slip from original sale, dated October 1979 and signed, showing the original purchase percentage was SGD586. This set distinguishes this vintage Submariner from many others, and the overall condition would make for a great addition to a serious collection.
