Our very attractive vintage Rolex Oyster perpetual chronometer, reference 2940, aka "bubbleback / ovetto" features a 32mm x 39mm stainless steel case with silver baton dial and sword hands. Presented in lovely condition for its age, this combination of dial and case makes for a svelte vintage look. We date production to c.1949 given the 69 **** serial number. A new quality leather strap is fitted with generic tang buckle. Neither box nor papers are present, a presentation pouch will be included. This would make an ideal daily wearer or addition to a collection; the Bubbleback makes for astonishing value contrasted to a more modern Rolex, offering understated and underrated looks.
