Our vintage and rare Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz reference 17000 features a 36mm stainless steel case with silver T Swiss T dial and integrated bracelet. Presented in outstanding condition given its age, this reference 17000 Oysterquartz has long term single ownership and impressive service history. Included is: correct inner and outer box, Your Rolex Oyster booklet (1990) , two calendars (1989/90, 1990/91) , red chronometer swing tag, green blank swing tag, spare rivet link, punched chronometer warranty paper with serial showing it was first retailed in July 1990, in the UK (CC160) and with dealer and date handwritten, Rolex UK service cards dated 1997, 2004, 2012 and 2019. This example bears a clearly visible 910 *** serial number, indicating manufacture in 1985. Given these Datejust Oysterquartz held a higher retail price than their automatic perpetual counterparts in period, this may have added to the delay in selling from the store's window once upon a time, although it is hard these days to imagine Rolex watches waiting unsold for weeks let alone years. With a superb provenance and condition, this Oysterquartz has been polished to manufacturer's standard over the years, and would undoubtedly make for a worthy addition to any serious Rolex collection.
