Made in France, our vintage Space watch (Espace) reference PC117 was a collaboration between Pierre Cardin and Jaeger France, launched in 1970. The first Pierre Cardin wristwatches, inspired by the space age, and notably Yuri Gagarin, there were some twenty five offered, all with manually wound Jaeger movements. This version has an asymetrical case of steel and gold measuring 32mm x 39mm. The fixed lugs to the case back seamless integrate a strap, we have fitted a nato although this may be swapped post purcase to leather or any vibrant or subtle textile strap. We date manufacture to c. 1970 , this is a hugely collectible wristwatch, an iconic design and of some historic importance. The overall condition is good, there are some notable signs of use overall, to the case, we have not polished prior to sale, but have serviced the movement.
