Our vintage and rare Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse feature an 18k yellow gold case (27mm x 32mm) with 18k yellow gold integral bracelet and blued dial. The Golden ellipse is still in production today, albeit in a different , larger form. Introduced in 1968, the Ellipse is one of Patek Philippe's most iconic designs, introduced as an instantly recognisable luxury watch for the era's most illustrious wearers. The dial on this example is signed O SWISS O indicating, correctly, that this early example has an all gold dial with a cobalt compound covering , blue, and with gentle patina. Presented in outstaindg condition for its age, there is little sign of fifty years use to the bracelet and the case is strong. This is an early Golden Ellipse, with extract from the Patek Philippe archive dated 2006, showing that this example was originally retailed in 1971, just three years after launch. Included is a presentation box, the original, nor the original papers are included, as may be expected given the age.
