Notes
Our vintage and extremely rare Omega Speedmaster Day-Date with Automatic cal. 1045 movement, (reference ST376.0822) is also well known as the "Holy Grail". So-named after the late Chuck Maddox, who called this reference (the 376.0822) , given its scarcity and his quest to find one. With a production run estimated at no more than 2000 pieces, finding one in this condition remains a grail quest. This Speedmaster features a 41mm stainless steel unpolished case (which shows light signs of use), correct "B2" bezel, correct original 1450 bracelet (showing virtually now stretch) with 808 end links , coeval patination to the hands and dial and English day wheel. This example would be a worthy addition to any serious collection. Comprising original and (again correct) inner and outer box with sleeve, polishing tissue and Mark V cal 1045 instructions, our Speedmaster ST376.0822 also comes with an extract from the Omega archives which states that this watch was produced in 1987 (serial 48 ****** ) and was originally delivered to Switzerland for its original sale. This must be one of the best Grails out there.
