Our vintage and extremely rare Omega Speedmaster Day-Date with Automatic cal. 1045 movement, (reference ST376.0822) is also well known as the "Holy Grail". So-named after the late Chuck Maddox, who called this reference (the 376.0822) , given its scarcity and his quest to find one. With a production run estimated at no more than 2000 pieces, finding one in this condition and complete with included accoutrements still remains a grail quest. Reference ST376.0822, the Speedmaster Holy Grail, features a 41mm stainless steel case (which shows light signs of use and unpolished), original 1450 bracelet (showing only a little stretch) with 809 end links , coeval patination to the hands and dial and English day wheel. Included is the following: significant moments outer box, inner red box (without c clip) , international guarantee stamped Zales (UK) June 1988, handwritten ref ST3760822, cal 1045 (no serial), original dispatch note for repair for reference ST3760822 (November 1988) (no serial) showing a warranty cover, between Zales the supplying dealer and Omega (SSIH) UK, You and Your Omega document, service receipt (independent UK) 2001, Omega Uk service receipt for glass repair (serial and refernence) October 2011, faded handwritten instructions (as we understand the instruction manual was never included. Coming from a serious collection, and likely destined for another, this must be one of the best Holy Grails on the market today.
