Notes

Celebrating 125 years of Omega in 1973, the Speedmaster 125 was the world's first chronometer certified chronograph with automatic movement and date (cal 1041 movement). A technologically advanced watch, the Speedmaster 125 had a price tag almost twice as high as the regular Moonwatch, and was very much the halo piece of the Omega collection. Iconic in its 1970s styling, the large case (51mm x 42mm exc crown and 9mm high) is hewn from a block of stainless steel. Also featured is an integral stainless steel bracelet, providing significant weight and clearly showing the superior quality of this piece.

Our Omega Speedmaster 125 reference 378.0801 / 178.0002 is presented in excellent condition, one of the better examples available. Importantly, the dial and hands are original, the case shows signs of use (to be expected given the heft!) and the bracelet has only a little stretch. Benefitting from a full service at an Omega approved service centre in December 2019, a two year warranty in place from that date, interestingly, the parts replaced were retained and are included, along with its box. The original papers and instructions are not included. We date this Speedmaster 125 to the later production stages with a 382 ***** movement serial.
