Notes
Our vintage and rare Omega Seamaster 300 automatic with 41mm stainless steel case, is a reference 165.024 with desirable big triangle dial with sword hands. Reference 165.024 is powered by a cal 552 automatic movement and this one is presented in outstanding condition for its age. Also, it benefits from a full and detailed sympathetic restoration in 2015, including a replacement stainless steel 1171 / 633 bracelet, this Seamaster bears a 25 *** serial number, parts replaced at service including the original bezel (faded with great patina), and comes complete with Omega archive/ museum extract which states this watch was produced in January 1968 and delivered to Hong Kong for retail. The extract does not state if it was originally supplied on a bracelet, it may of course also be enjoyed on a leather strap or nato canvas strap, as these lovely 1960s Omegas carry a number of looks with great style. This reference of Seamaster was noted in period as being one of the most robust and practical dive watches, and was issued to various forces including the British Navy. This example would be a civilian issue, unusual with the dial configuration. Details of the restorative work is included. Neither original box nor papers are present, a presentation pouch will be included at point of sale. Coming directly from a collection, this would make a worthy addition to another serious dive watch or Omega collector.
