Our vintage yellow gold Longines with 35mm case (inc crown and 40mm lug to lug) features a manually wound movement and attractive silver dial with gold batons. Incredibly, this watch was a presentation watch (without engraving), and comes complete with box, certificate d'origin / papers dated November 1974, having been awarded as a long service company gift from Wiggins Teape Ltd, and was purchased from Mappin and Webb, Regent Street, London, UK. Also included is a letter from the group personnel manager regarding insuring this 35 year long service award, which was deemed to be worth £100 for insurance purposes and contact details for Mappin And Webb, should a certificate for valuation purposes be required. The letter is dated December 1974. We have fitted a new quality leather strap with gold tone tang buckle. Wiggins Teape was a leading paper manufacturer headquartered in the city of London, and in motor sport circles, as a sponsor of British saloon car racing in the 1970s.
