Longines Conquest VHP Ti Quartz 21470 91

Our rare and iconic Longines Conquest VHP (very high precision) TI, reference 21470.91 features a titanium and yellow metal (18ct) 34mm case and titanium bracelet. The largest size available, originally intended for gents, this example is presented in outstanding condition for its age, there are only light signs of new overall, making for one of the nicest VHPs we have handled. Neither box nor papers are present, although a presentation pouch will be included at point of sale. This was a range topping and iconic 1980s/90s design for Longines, we date this example to c.1990. Of note, to illustrate the seniority of this watch in the Longines range when new, reference 21470.91 differentiated itself from the more common VHP TI ref 21600.91, as the latter was gold plated. The price when new contrasted the latter at £1595 vs £795 (cit. Longines UK price guide April 1991), in context a steel Rolex Datejust 16220 was (in 1990) £1325). Its price today definitely reflects great value when contrasted to what it was new!
