Ejection Seat : Lockheed USAF Star Fighter F104

An upward fire ejection seat, deactivated, from a US Air Force Mach 2 capable F104 Star Fighter, manufactured circa 1964. Now, a perfect and fully functioning domestic or office seat, this has been professionally stripped to base metal and exquisitely refinished by hand to a chrome effect. New quality soft brown leather has been fitted to make comfortable for domestic use. Of note, this ejection seat has phenomenal detail, retaining plenty of original features, as well as the seat pan actuator and serial denotations, confirming this is a C2 TYPE, FLX64-6.

From the C range of ejection seats, fitted in the Star Fighter between 1960-1968, this combat jet was designed at Lockheed’s Skunk Works following the Korean war, designed to combat technological advances that had been noted in downed Russian MIG15s. The Star Fighter served in the Vietnam War and was purchased by a number of allied Air Forces around the world.

Specification as displayed : 157cm high, 90cm long, 64cm wide. Leather Seat is 45x45cm base and leather back rest is 40 x 40cm.
