Notes
Our rare, vintage and historical important Breitling Cosmonaute Chrono-matic referent 1809 , with cal.11 movement was one of the first automatic chronographs to be launched for sale, introduced in 1967. Equally of note is the 24 hour continuous time, as the dial registers. A prominent and 48mm case, developed by Breitling and EPSA Piquerez, this is an early example with case: patent application number "DDE + BR 11525/67" . This example is presented in excellent condition for its age, original dial and hands, the case and stainless steel bracelet show signs of use in keeping with its design intention. This example of reference 1809 has been fully serviced , and comes with a presentation pouch, as neither box nor papers are present. We date production to c. 1970 given the 135 *** serial. A wonderful Breitling and this must be one of the most original on the market today.
