18k yellow gold telescopic pencil

Our antique 18k yellow gold telescopic pencil would, in period, (circa 1910s/ 1920s) likely be fitted by its hoop to an Albert Chain, and in period be used by gentry for keeping and monitoring sporting scores, such as equestrian pursuits, golf or card games. Presented in wonderful and (importantly) working condition. The barrel of the pencil is fancily engraved and adds to the vintage charm of this piece. The size, extended at 6 inches, and slim barrel are of course intended to slip into a waistcoat pocket but today would suit a jacket pocket or handbag, such is the versatility of this vintage piece.
