Breitling Bullhead / Pupitre Chronograph 7101

Our Breitling chronograph with date, reference 7101 , aka the Bullhead , the Pupitre and the Pult, features a manually wound Valjoux 7740 movement, housed in a 42mm stainless steel case. The Bullhead styling , with chrono pushers and crown at 12, is intended for drivers, easily used in motorsports environments. The brown dial with orange hands perfectly represents the 1970s styling of this Breitling, they are coevally patinated and original. The condition of this 7101 is outstanding, unpolished and possibly the nicest Bullhead on the market. The names Pulpitre / Pult come from the off centred movement into the case, leaning towards the wearer, but representing the lean of a school desk. This is of course deliberate and again driver focussed. The perfect watch for any vintage motorsport event and worthy of any serious collection. Neither box nor papers are included, a presentation pouch will be included at point of sale. We date manufacture to c.1971 given the 13 ** serial number.
