Longines Vintage Art Deco 14k yellow gold

Our extremely rare Longines manually wound 14k yellow gold dress watch with integral lugs and tonneau case features an unusual dial in silver with sub seconds and art deco cursive hand applied numerals dial in blue. This vintage Longines is presented in outstanding condition given the age and is an attractive piece, which we date to c.1914-17 given the serial number 30 ****** . Of note, the case would have been considered over size in period, measuring 42mm x 31mm (inc crown). These rare watches were often created for export, the inner case signed EFG (Longines) . A later blue leather strap and later Longines gold tang buckle is fitted and this watch is accompanied by a Longines service pouch.
