This stunning and elegant vintage Rolex Day Date reference 18038 is dated 1979 on a 60**** serial number. The original champagne dial has a superb patina and the language wheel is English. Our Rolex 18038 is the so called single quick set variant, indicating the date can be set via the crown. This particular example is presented in very good condition, and well above average given the age. The brown leather alligator strap is bespoke and made by Jean Rousseau and fitted to a Rolex gold plated tang buckle. Perfectly blending vintage style with everyday practicality, Rolex Day-Dates are continually popular and this particular example represents excellent value for money. At sale, our watch comes with a V&P presentation box, as neither original box nor papers are present.

History
The Rolex Day-Date is also known as the President as it has been seen on the wrist of many US Presidents over the years. Numerous CEOS, film stars, sports personalities, luminaries and celebrities have also favoured the Day-Date and the model is still to this day seen as the pinnacle of the Rolex range. Day-Dates have recently seen a spike in popularity on both gold (yellow, white and rose) bracelets as well as on leather straps.
